West Norfolk Countryside Ride
At Houghton Hall, Norfolk, PE31 6UE on Sunday 11th April 2021
Choice of 2 ride distances : approx. 10 and 6 miles plus lead rein flexibility.
Enjoy parkland, forestry and private tracks and optional logs for jumping. This is a beautiful sporting and agricultural estate. Expect to see birdlife, wild deer, cattle, sheep and pigs however the ride route will be planned to avoid livestock wherever possible.
A donation will go to a charity of the landowner’s choice.
Photographer and first aid will be in attendance.Rosettes for all competitors. There may be catering depending on Covid restrictions in place at the time!
No dogs allowed whatsoever.
SOCIAL DISTANCE ADJUSTMENTS
• No toilet facilities due to social distance /cleaning limitations. You must use your own horse transport creatively I am afraid!
• Riders should arrive no more than 30 minutes before they intend to start the ride. There is extensive parking available.
• Riders should arrive alone unless they require one adult helper for safety reasons.
• Riders must give their name and start time to the start steward.
• Riders may ride with up to 5 people from other households as per latest government guidance. Refer to prevailing government social distance regulations in place at the date of the ride.
• Everyone to observe social distance regulations at all times as per government instruction in place on the date of the ride.
• At least one mobile phone must be carried per group. Call 07775992598 with any problems during the ride.
ENTRY PROCEDURE
• All entries must be paid online
• STRICLTY NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY.
• Typed email form and hand written forms are both acceptable. You can take a photo of the form if you print it out and fill it in and then email the photo.
• Payment can be made online by bank transfer or by post with a cheque.
• Payment MUST equal the total amount on the entry form otherwise your entry will not be accepted.
• Riders can request approximate time slots (early, morning, noon, afternoon) when they make their entry and we will do our best to accommodate however this. The earlier you enter, the better if you need a certain time.
• All entry forms must be “signed” (typed name is OK if not printing it out)
• More precise time slots will be allocated first come (paid), first served.
• Accepted entries will receive an email confirmation containing your entry number and time slot. This will be sent out closer to the ride date.
• Entries will close when we are full up! No set closing date so enter early to be sure.
• Notification of entry closing will be on our facebook page and by email to unsuccessful entries.
• Refunds will be given less £5 admin fee (time and bank charges) only if notified by email before 28th March. Withdrawals before this date can also choose to defer their entry in full to any other future WNCR ride. No refunds or transfers from 28th March onwards.
• Full refunds will be given (or transfer to a future ride if you prefer) in the event of Covid-cancellation by the government.
ENTRY FEE
• £21 per adult and £16 for Under 18’s. This includes first aid cover and your rosette if you wish to collect one on the day.
